YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

How Much Yoga Will We Do During The 200Hr Course? Plus

Some days will be more physical than others but expect to practice asana for at least one 3-hr session each day. You will be doing more asana on certain days, while on others it may vary, depending on the course material that needs to be covered. Eoin is very intuitive at gauging how the group is holding up. We hope that you respect your body/practice and take care to protect your joints from injury. We encourage taking rest when needed and growing past your edge with conscious effort when possible. Through this course you will gain knowledge and strength that will surely show through on the mat.

What If I Don't Want to be A Teacher? Plus

No problem! Our 200-hour training is ideal for those who want to delve deeper into the study of yoga, and to improve their own practice. It’s also great for students who simply want to have a transformational experience and to be a part of our thriving Yoga Community.

Are The Trainings Physically Difficult? Plus

We regularly have students over age 60 in our trainings. Our style of yoga will open your body and your energy channels, not push it unnecessary. You will be challenged on this training in many ways, but not in the sense of physical exertion.

What are The Pre-Requisites for Attending? Plus

We recommend having practiced at least 1 year before doing the 200Hour training.

Do You Offer Payment Plans? Plus

Yes, training can be broken into payments of as little as $500 / month.

Travel

Why Should I Do an Intensive Yoga Teacher Training, rather than Studying Someplace Closer to Home? Plus

There are many aspects of the science of yoga that are difficult to experience in a regular weeknight class or weekend training environment. That’s why all our Yoga Alliance accredited yoga teacher trainings are offered as intensives. There is no better way to go deeper, faster into the vast sea of yogic tradition than to immerse yourself completely, separated from everyday pressures and distractions. The deepest and most bountiful techniques require uninterrupted and dedicated practice in a way that is almost impossible to achieve if we try to tend to usual daily affairs on the side. Being sequestered from normal everyday concerns, social groups and responsibilities allows you the freedom and space for a rewarding inward journey. It’s also an opportunity to travel to an exotic location and be immersed in a new culture, try new foods, and see amazing sights. The immersion format is a rich experience, with students living together and enjoying each other’s support, sharing free time, studying together in the evenings and partaking in communal meals.

Why Canggu? Plus

We have lived in Bali for many years and are well acquainted with the best locations and venues for our yoga and meditation teacher trainings. Here’s what makes our training

locations so special: Canggu: a funky beach town with a cool, alternative current that attracts yogis and surfers from around the world with its laid-back vibe and world-class break. You can spend days off at the beach or in the ocean. Busier and more of a party vibe than Ubud. About an hour’s drive from the airport.

What Airport Do I Fly to? Plus

Book your flight to Denpasar (DPS, also known as Ngurah Rai). This is Bali’s only international commercial airport, located in the southern part of the island. We recommend arriving a day or two earlier if possible, to factor in any flight delays and give yourself time to adjust to the new time zone and climate.

What VISA do I need? Plus

Due to current restrictions we will communicate directly with govt social media official reports and directly with Indonesian visa agent that is specialized in up to date processes.  We expect that very shortly it will be possible to enter Indonesia with a Business Visa. This allows entry to Bali with 60 days of stay and is extendable up to 6 months. If you feel ready to travel and want to start planning your trip to Bali, please contact us for details on applying for this special visa.

What Should I Pack for an Intensive Yoga Teacher Training in Bali?? Plus

Due to global pandemic, wearing a face mask is required.

  • Several changes of your favorite lightweight yoga clothes.
  • A sarong – a wonderful multipurpose item. These are also easily purchased in Bali.
  • Comfortable sandals or flip-flops are a must, and should be easy removed as most people here do not wear shoes indoors.
  • Swimwear, beach towel and sun hat
  • Your favorite toiletries and sunscreen• Mini travel first aid kit (hydrocortisone, antibiotic cream, band-aids)
  • Mosquito repellent
  • Personal medications
  • Sleep mask and Earplugs
  • Sanitary products
  • Adapter for electronics: Europe (KAEU)
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Notebook (paper) & pen to take notes during the training
  • Yoga mat (optional. You can also purchase in Bali but the selection is limited. As a lightweight mat, we like Jute Travel Mat)
  • If you have back issues, you might want to consider bringing a foldable floor chair / camping chair. As yogis, we traditionally sit on the floor during lectures, and chairs are not available. Most people are fine sitting on bolsters, mats and blankets, but if you know you need back support, the folding chairs are a good option
Do I Need Vaccinations? Plus

Check with your doctor which vaccinations you need to travel to Indonesia and ensure you have the required vaccinations well before departure date. We follow the CDC’s travel recommendations for Indonesia. Malaria is not prevalent in Bali, so unless you are traveling to other areas of Indonesia, prophylactic medication is not recommended.

Covid-19

What is The Covid Situation in Bali? Plus

As with most places in the world, the pandemic remains a concerning public health issue here. As of February 25th 2021, there were 2364 total active cases reported (this represents a downward trend). The cumulative number of reported CoVid19 cases in Bali (population 4.2 million) is currently 33,384 with a total of 30,122 recoveries and 898 deaths. Outdoor living, open air spaces, lack of public transport, mandatory mask-wearing in public, social distancing, and of course the border closure have likely prevented a worst-case scenario. We will do our utmost to keep this information up to date and accurate. The situation in your country and ours regarding travel and health regulations can change daily, so please refer to official government communications and reputable news sources.

Is Bali's Border Open? Plus

Bali’s border has been closed to foreign tourists since early April 2020, in accordance with widespread global travel restrictions due to the pandemic. This is not expected to change until sometime in 2021. An entry ban for all foreigners is in place until March 8th 2021. Indonesian citizens and foreigners with work/residence permits (KITAS/KITAP) may enter.

How Can I Get into Bali? Plus

An entry ban for all foreign tourists is in place until March 8th 2021. Indonesian citizens and foreigners with work/residence permits (KITAS/KITAP) may enter. We will be updating this information regularly.

Are There Any Flights to Bali? Plus

Although there are currently no international flights arriving in Bali (DPS airport), it is possible to get to Bali via Jakarta, and then take an inexpensive domestic connecting flight from Jakarta to Bali. We have recently flown to and from Bali, the US and Europe and enjoyed normal fares, empty planes, short lines, excellent hygiene standards and great service.

What are the entry requirements? Plus

Even though from today there is no entry to Bali from overseas the below is what we are expecting to be re-opened and available by middle of march.

You are required to show a negative PCR test within 3 days of entering the country. You may also be required to take a rapid test in transit to Bali, at Jakarta airport. You are also required to commit to a 14 days self-quarantine. You do not need to complete the quarantine before the course. The 14 days can be part of the course and spent at our training venues, which are fully serviced and catered. Join us in the yoga bubble!  Recently there was a requirement to quarantine for 5 days in Jakarta before travelling to Bali.  We shall update this scenario with you directly for the most up to date reports.

What is The Change/Cancellation/Interruption Policy During Covid? Plus

We have amended our policies as we adapt to these uncertain times. If you need to reschedule your training due to Covid-19 related circumstances beyond your control, such as border closure, airport closure etc, you can transfer your full payment made to any future course in 2021 or 2022 Offline and or Online training. If you arrive late or need to leave early, any unused portion of your stay will not be available for future credit. We are unable to offer refunds for any reason, so please be confident in your commitment to attend a Bali training before making payment.

How Do I Safely Travel from The Airport to The Venue? Plus

We will provide a private transport with other students to and from the airport to the venue.

What are The Rules and Requirements to Participate in A Training? Plus

It is our highest priority to protect and respect each other’s personal safety. Our staff will be monitoring the situation attentively and taking every precaution to keep the students safe. On arrival, students will be screened regarding their current health and exposure risk. An up-to-date health certificate (negative PCR test prior to travel) and valid health insurance is required. Temperature checks via a touchless infrared thermometer will be available during the training. Students are asked to inform Cosmos Oasis staff immediately if they are experiencing any symptoms and our strict protocols will be Conducted to keep everybody comfortable and protected during these times.

Will Participants be Sharing Mats, Props etc? Plus

No. All participants will be assigned their personal set of props. The props will be washed and disinfected before and after each training. You are encouraged to bring your own yoga mat for the most comfort.

How Many Students are in A Course? Plus

All of our trainings to date have sold out, so expect a full class of 28-30 students. With practice and lecture spaces and ample distance between each mat during practice.

What are The Guidelines if I Leave The Center? Plus
